ACADEMIC PROGRAMME
The Lagoon School operates a predominantly Nigerian School curriculum. Our teaching methodologies reflect a passionate commitment to learning and recognition of the uniqueness of individual learners. They are driven by our desire to offer the best possible education for our students in partnership with their parents.
Each student is helped by her teachers to discover the connection between each subject and real life.
The personal and social development of our learners is the central aim of our curriculum. Through a carefully planned program, supported by all who work in or with the school, we develop each learner as a:
- Confident person who is self-reliant; self-motivated; self-disciplined; has a strong sense of right and wrong, thinks independently and critically, and communicates effectively;
- Self-directed learner who questions, reflects, perseveres and takes responsibility for her own learning; and makes choices within a moral context;
- Good team player who is able to work effectively in teams, is innovative, exercises initiative, takes calculated risks and strives for excellence.
Concerned citizen who has a strong sense of civic responsibility, is informed about Nigeria and the world, has clear values and attitudes, and takes an active part in improving the lives of others around her.
